"I will spend most of my life and eternity knowing my children as adults,
but for a few short years I have the privilege of knowing them as children."

May - Month in Review

My favorite part of Kindergarten is when they invite the mom's in for a Mother's Day celebration. I didn't get a make-over this year (darn it!) but Jared served me some snacks, gave me some wonderful projects he had been working on, and then the class sang some cute songs. It was a great day!
To celebrate the end of the school year, we took the kids to the Phoenix Children's Museum to run around, explore and just have lots of fun!

With the weather getting so warm, we also went and played at the water tower. Nathan didn't enjoy it one bit, but the other kids were goofy as always.

Every year on the last day of school, our neighbor greets her kids coming off the bus with a super soaker and starts the summer off with a major water fight. This year she brought enough for all of us and the kids were drenched by the time we ran out of water.

Milestone Pictures of Nathan and Madeline

I took Nathan to get his 18 month pictures and Madeline's 3 month pictures. Boy does Nathan not like having his picture taken! He was in tears part of the time, and wouldn't stay put for more than one picture at a time. So these are the best we could get of him. Of course after we were done he was all smiles and giggles while I waited to pay for the prints I wanted. Madeline started out pretty cranky and not interested at all in holding still. But once the photographer figured out a way to get her to smile we got some great shots. And then she promptly fell asleep about two minutes after we finished.

April - Month in Review

April means Pinewood Derby time! Kyle made a Harry Potter car and Hayden's car was called The Viper. They had a lot of fun racing against the other scout's cars. They didn't win this year, but it didn't matter. We all had a great time!
April also mean Baseball Season! Kyle played player-pitch this year. It's a lot slower because they're still learning how to pitch so there aren't as many hits. Kyle was a chicken and wouldn't play pitcher, but we still enjoyed going to his games.
Jared played his final year of T-ball. He was awesome (and probably the oldest kid on the team).  He's a natural athlete and had a lot of fun.

Allison played her first year of T-ball and was able to be on the same team as Jared. She picked it up really fast and was pretty good for a beginner. She refused to wear baseball pants and wouldn't even wear shorts (or "tiny pants" as she calls them). She only wears skirts, and that includes on the baseball field. She's such a girly-girl!

And just for fun, here's a picture of my two sweet babies.
