"I will spend most of my life and eternity knowing my children as adults,
but for a few short years I have the privilege of knowing them as children."

Kyle's First Pinewood Derby

The Kober Family got to participate in our first Pinewood Derby in April. Kyle (with a little help from Clint and I) spent a few weeks designing, sanding, painting and decorating a red roadster named "Hot Wings." Despite a last minute fiasco by me (I cracked the wood on one of the axles trying to make the wheels level - Ack!) the car was ready for race day. The racers eagerly waited the results at the end of the track. Typical Hayden having fun with the camera. Kyle got Fourth Place overall and received the "Best in Show" award for his car. Congratulations Kyle! You did an awesome job in your first Pinewood Derby.

A Poem In My Pocket

We had a fun time attending Hayden's 1st Grade Program on April 7th. The theme was "A Poem in My Pocket" and they sang songs and recited poems. Here we are waiting for the show to start. When all the kids lined up, we were happy to have a clear view of Hayden.
And afterward he shrugged off all of our praise and adulations. But he did seem to have a good time, even if he didn't remember all of the words to the songs.

Here We Go Again!

Apparently we weren't as "done" having kids as we thought. #5 is on it's way! Everything is fine and dandy so far. I'll be 14 weeks tomorrow and the due date is October 7, 2011. The ultrasound showed what looked to be "boy parts" but it's still really early, so I'm not buying any blue just yet (yes, we are starting over because we have given all our baby stuff away, so if you've got any baby stuff you want to get rid of, let me know!) We'll get another ultrasound at the end of May and we'll find out for sure then. *Oh and that's not really my ultrasound picture. I can't find my printer cable to scan ours into the computer so I just googled one that looked similar.
