"I will spend most of my life and eternity knowing my children as adults,
but for a few short years I have the privilege of knowing them as children."

Happy Birthday Jared!

I can't believe my baby boy is 2 years old already! He spent the morning singing, "Happy To You!" to anyone who would listen. It was so cute. He decided he wanted a chocolate monkey cake, so this is what Deedum Kober made for him. It turned out great!
Uncle David gave him a Nerf gun which was his favorite present. He kept trying to shoot Papa Kober with it and then would burst into giggles.
After he blew out his two candles, he didn't want to wait for a fork and plate and just dug into one of the monkey ears with his fingers.
Yum! Yum!

Happy Birthday my sweet, mischievous, loving, silly, smartie-pants, snuggly, fun-loving Jared! We sure love you!

She Smiled For The First Time!

As I was changing her into her jammies Sunday night and telling her what a good job she did during her blessing, she SMILED at me! I thought maybe it was a fluke until she did it again. Then I ran to get my camera and caught her twice on film (okay, I know it's a digital camera, but to say I caught her on memory card just isn't the same). Sorry the pictures are kind of blurry but I was moving quickly to catch the moment before it passed. She's such a sweetheart!

Allison's Blessing Day

We had Allison's baby blessing at our house Sunday afternoon. Clint gave her a very sweet blessing. Then everyone stayed at our house for dinner. I didn't get as many pictures as I would have liked. We attempted to get a family picture, but I'm not smiling in any of them (I was too busy trying to get the boys to look in the direction of the camera so I was never ready when they took the picture) and I also need to lose 60 pounds and since I'm the keeper of the blog, I made an executive decision to leave those out. And you all just want to see the baby anyway. So here you go...

Here she is in her pretty blessing dress, which we think is the same dress I was blessed in all those years ago.
And with her brothers.
And again with her brothers. "Okay everyone, 1...2...3...Smile!"
"No Jared, you're supposed to look like you're gonna kiss her. Try again."

Allison is One Month Old

And to celebrate, I went a little crazy with the camera. So here are a bunch of new pictures for your viewing pleasure. She almost looks like she's smiling in a couple of them, but don't let that fool you. She has yet to give us a waking smile, and we've never been able to catch a dreaming smile on camera.

Here she is on her daddy's belly - her second favorite place to be.

A Request From Hayden

"Mom, could you ask all our friends in Utah, and cousins too, to move to Arizona and not got back to where they were? They need to do that. Thanks."
