"I will spend most of my life and eternity knowing my children as adults,
but for a few short years I have the privilege of knowing them as children."

Pioneer Day

The 24th of July is quickly becoming my favorite holiday. It's a big deal here in Mapleton and they go all out for the celebration. We skipped the pancake breakfast because my kids wouldn't have eaten it anyway. So we started out at the parade where the older four kids were supposed to be in the primary float, but the boys chickened out and Allison was the only one who rode in the truck. Way to go Allison!
Then we walked over to the park so the kids could play the carnival games and play on the bouncy houses.
We went back to the house for lunch and so the little kids could nap and the big kids could play games.
Then we went to Ira Allen park for dinner, an awesome band and the best fireworks show we have ever seen!

Lots of food! Lots of family! Lots of fun!
