"I will spend most of my life and eternity knowing my children as adults,
but for a few short years I have the privilege of knowing them as children."

September - Month in Review

September was rather uneventful. I didn't take many pictures, and the ones I have aren't very good. We did take the kids to Golfland one evening, but my cell phone camera can't take good pictures in the light, so they get really bad in the dark.
The boys also went to Kids' Night Out at the school and came home with painted faces.

August - Month in Review

We celebrated Kyle's 11th Birthday in August. He invited a bunch of friends over for a late night video game party. We set up two TVs so everyone could play at the same time. I was a little afraid we'd run out things to do and the boys would be bored, but I shouldn't have worried. They kept themselves entertained the whole time. Kyle has got some great friends!

A few days later it was time to head back to school. Kyle is now in 6th grade, Hayden is in 4th and Jared started 1st grade.

This is what Nathan did to our new laptop. I was only out of the room for a couple of minutes! I was able to get them all back on except the "v". He did the same thing to our old laptop, which was why we bought this new one. That kid loves to take things apart.
Is this a glimpse into Kyle's future?
At the August Pack Meeting, Kyle earned his Arrow of Light and graduated from Cub Scouts.

And I'll throw in some cute pictures of Nathan just because he makes me happy!

Has It Been Three Months Already?

I don't know why I can't seem to get this blog updated. I take lots of pictures, but I just never seem to get around to getting them off my phone and/or camera to do anything with them. But here are the latest milestone pictures that we had taken this past week.

Madeline is now 6 months old. She's crawling, sitting and has just started pulling herself up to stand at furniture. If she's going to be an early crawler then I hope she's also an early walker because I hate the "crawl around and eat everything on the floor" stage. And when you also have a 1 year old little boy (and four other kids too, for that matter) there is always plenty of things on the floor to eat.
Hayden is 9 years old and just started 4th Grade. He's going to play percussion in band this year. He also just moved into the Bear Den for Cub Scouts. He still loves all things Lego and almost fainted when he went to a new friend's house and saw that they had a room that was only for Legos. He was in heaven! A family in our ward just gave us a dresser they no longer needed (which we will eventually give to Nathan) and we filled it up with Hayden's Legos in an attempt to get them all off his bedroom floor.
Kyle just had his 11th Birthday and started 6th Grade this week. I'm glad 6th is still in elementary school here because I don't think I'm ready for him to go to junior high just yet. He is all done with Cub Scouts and will be having his Arrow of Light ceremony next week. He's also going to play percussion in band this year and is going to play soccer starting in a few weeks. He's never played soccer before, except at recess in school, so this will be a new adventure for him and all of us. He's such a natural athlete at most things that I'm sure he'll be fine.
Now that school has started up again, I'm hoping to claim an afternoon when the little ones are napping to get some of the older pictures posted on here. But don't hold your breath...

In July, my babies were still cute. :-)
And Hayden turned NINE! He had a Minecraft birthday party, with a Minecraft cake, Minecraft decorations and made-up Minecraft games.

June - Month in Review

In June we went with a big group of friends and toured a fire station. Brother Martinez is the fire captain and showed us all the gear the firefighters have to wear to fight a fire.

We also went swimming at Val Vista Lakes which has an awesome man-made beach.

And just for giggles here is a goofy picture of Allison.
