"I will spend most of my life and eternity knowing my children as adults,
but for a few short years I have the privilege of knowing them as children."

Heber Creeper

I'm always trying to find fun things for our family to do that don't cost a fortune (which is difficult seeing as there are 8 of us). I was so excited when I saw that the Heber Creeper does a Monday Night Family Night Sing-a-Long Train Ride! Can you tell how excited my family was that I bought us tickets? That's how they usually look when I plan things like this, but they always end up having a good time. You'd think they'd learn...

We let them each pick a treat from the concession stand in one of the train cars. And we spent the rest of the time singing along to a bunch of our favorite songs!

Visiting the Symes

For General Conference Weekend I took the kids up to see my brother and his family. It was Peyton's 16th Birthday that weekend as well, so Lisa had decorated the basement as a Man Cave. My pictures turned out a little weird, but it is all brown paper covering the walls and ceiling. It was the coolest thing!
In between Conference sessions on Saturday we took all the kids to Ryan's Place Park. It's one of the coolest parks we've ever been to.
And the rest of the time was spent doing what we love best - just hanging out with the cousins, playing games, reading and watching conference!

April Pack Meeting

April's Cub Scout Pack Meeting was a bunch of random games that they played in teams. Hayden is usually one to hang back and just observe, but he surprised me and got right in there and competed! He dug through the (Oreo) dirt to find the (gummy) worms...
Helped his team put together a puzzle in record time...
And he tried to be the first to eat an entire plate of whipped cream. He didn't win this challenge. He started to heave a little so we rushed into the bathroom, but it was a false alarm. Phew!
You did a great job Hayden and made us PROUD!

Marchity March March

In March we took some cute and silly pictures of the little kids.
Allison opened up a cafe in my bedroom.
Hayden competed in his second Pinewood Derby. He names his car The Chrome Reaper!
Madeline spilled the box of Apple Jacks. So I let her eat it off the floor and called it breakfast.
We had an All-Green-Dinner for St. Patrick's Day. There was pear salad, chicken salad, green mac n' cheese, green rolls, green apples with caramel, green grapes, green slushies, and chocolate mint cookies for dessert. It wasn't pretty, but it was delicious!!
Nathan fell asleep watching TV.
A pheasant died in the front yard.
And Kyle went to the Hindu Color Fest with his cousins. This was after he cleaned up a bit.
I'm sure Jared did some fun stuff too, but apparently I didn't take any picture of him doing it.
