but for a few short years I have the privilege of knowing them as children."

Help! I'm Standing!
We were lucky to have the camera nearby when Allison stood herself up for the first time. She was pretty proud of herself until she realized she didn't know how to get down.

My Sweet Allison
Okay, here are the promised pictures. At her check up this week we found out that Allison is 27 inches tall and she now weighs 16 pounds. And she has sprouted her first tooth! I had no idea! The doc asked if she's been teething and I said, "Nope, nothing yet." Then she looked in her mouth and said, "Well, she's already got a tooth coming in." I can't believe I missed that. She hasn't been fussy, or drooling or anything. That was the easiest tooth ever.
She crawled behind the curtain and didn't know how to get out, so it ended up becoming a game of peek-a-boo. She wasn't really having much fun, but she kept playing for quite a while. She looked so cute back there I had to take some pictures.

She loves to play with the toys in the boys' room. Actually she prefers paper over toys, but we're getting better about picking up all the paper. Don't mind the blue "artwork" on the door. Jared was feeling artistic one day and now we have blue crayon all over the doors and hall walls. It's been there for months. I don't even notice it anymore. :-)

Cuddling with my leg.

Swimming Lessons
The two older boys just finished their session of swimming lessons. It was SO MUCH easier this year than last year. Last year Hayden was having his outrageous emotional tantrums and it was a struggle to get him into his swim suit, and then into the car, and then into the pool complex, and he only got into the water two of the ten days. This year he had no problems at all. You can even see that he's smiling in one of the pictures. He loved his teachers and he loved being in the water. It's amazing the difference that a year makes.

Kyle is becoming a terrific swimmer! He has no fear at all when it comes to water (didn't get that from me!) And he's not too shabby at cannonballs either!

And this is how Jared and Allison spent their time during swimming lessons.
Allison is 6 Months Old!
Unfortunately I have no recent pictures of her. Now that she is semi-crawling, her clothes are always so dirty that she isn't fit to be photographed. *ha*ha*ha* I try to keep my floors clean, I really do. I even mopped the floor twice in one week! (I know...my life is so hard!) :p But it's practically impossible to keep up with the three boys who can mess up a room faster than I can clean it. Perhaps I should strap some Swiffer Pads to Allison's belly and she can be my own little slow-motion Roomba!
Be patient...I'll get some pictures posted soon.

Where's Allison?
Allison has learned how to commando-crawl and the other day I...uh...kind of lost her. I'm used to her staying in the same place that I sit her down in, but when I came back to get her, she was gone. This is where I found her.

She was behind the chair, fast asleep in the warmth of the window sun. And I just left her there. She seems to sleep better when she just crashes somewhere anyway.

Memorial Day
We took the kids miniature golfing on Memorial Day. And I can't believe this is the only picture I took. Shame on me. It was hilarious watching the boys play. They would hold their clubs like baseball bats, croquet mallets or um...whatever you call those sticks you play suffle board with. But they actually did pretty good. They can't wait to go play again.

Physical Therapy
Just a quick update. We had Allison's first physical therapy appointment today. She was born with a condition called torticollis, which just means that her head is tilted because the muscles in her neck are too tight. With Allison, her head is tilted slightly to the right, and fortunately she has a pretty mild case. In fact I've already noticed an improvement over the last month as she's getting bigger and stronger. The therapist gave us some stretching exercises to do to lengthen the muscles and then later on we will work on strengthening them. Allison was great the whole time (she's so easy-going all the time) and we have a really good therapist. I liked her right away. So far, so good!

Happy 8th Anniversary To Us!
Clint and I are celebrating 8 great years together today. So I felt like taking a stroll down memory lane.
This was my first time in Arizona when he took me home to meet his parents over Christmas break.
Then in February we went with a big group of friends to Las Vegas for Clint's birthday. This was taken on the top of the Stratosphere.
Being goofy on the swings at a park in Mapleton.
Our first trip to Disneyland together.
Our Engagement Photo

Awwww...we were so cute. And young. And skinny.
You know you've been married a long time when your kids don't recognize their aunts and uncles in the wedding pictures.
Thanks for eight great years Clint! May the 4th be with you! (Yes, we share our Anniversary with Star Wars Day. Ha Ha Ha Ha!)

Anything Goes Pinewood Derby
Our ward had a no-rules (except no flames or rocket power) pinewood derby last Saturday night. Clint made a car and loaded it up with metal plates and lead bullets and it ended up weighing more than 12 oz. That may not sound like much, but it was one dang heavy little car. Some other people in our ward got a little more creative. One had the derby version of nitrous oxide. It only lasted one heat - it shot off the starting line and landed on the finish line without touching any of the rest of the track and busted into a bunch of little pieces. Yikes! One of the girls that is Kyle's age just strapped a brick onto a block of wood and added wheels. Her car actually did pretty good. Her dad tied a string on to his car and yanked it down the track. That worked about 50% of the time. The other half it missed the track and almost hit the spectators watching the race. Anyway, there were about 30 cars entered in the race and you'll never believe who won!!
