Fly Away Butterflies, Be Free!

Hayden's 2nd grade class studied the life cycle of caterpillars as they change into butterflies. On the 25th they invited parents and younger siblings to join them in a butterfly release party. They gave each student a piece of watermelon so they could use the rind to get a butterfly out of the net and help them fly away. There were butterflies everywhere! It was awesome, and a little bit creepy for a bug-a-phobe like me.
